End of the road

I've heard and read many explanations for why Romney lost, I heard that it was part hurricane, part media scumbaggery, part lies, part Christie hugging someone, Romney didn't do this, someone in his campaign said that, war on women, the moderators, should have relented on abortion, didn't go after obama hard enough [that was me too] etc, etc.

Look, it doesn't matter, he could have done everything right and it's clear he'd still lose. I've heard some say that a few gains were made, democrats didn't get everything, triangulate this way, slither that way, reach out to women, bring in the lesbians, in four years time, something about widening a tent, etc, etc.

Part of it was obama, the guys still selling a sack of shit, but he's a tremendous salesman, but I personally believe that the hard truth is that the people don't want Conservatism. Small government, lower taxes, taking care of your own troubles, working and keeping more of what you worked for etc is just not good enough. We don't want the party to end. I know it's not everyone, but it's enough.

I had a bitter chuckle when I heard him waffling on about the founding fathers and what they wanted, sorry but the majority of Americans have decided that the constitution is just some irrelevant old scroll kept somewhere. The list of failures is long, obamacare shoved down their throats, 16 trillion and counting in debt, unemployment biting at every turn etc, etc, this was their last chance to take a stand, but no line was formed or held.

The excuses and reasons would only be valid if obama and Romney were new candidates. We have to accept that Americans have had 4 long years to make up their minds, 4 years later and they still did not reject it. The only conclusion is that they want more.

We cannot deny them, they should get what they want.

There's talk of - in four years time - sorry to burst the bubble folks, this was it, this was the last chance to turn back, to live within your means, to grow up, to return to sanity, return to true freedom and liberty. It's gone now, smoke into the wind. KG from Crusader Rabbit said it best - a priceless birthright, squandered and betrayed. Pity they don't even know what they've lost.

I feel so terribly sorry for those of you who know what you've lost. You know what you've lost, you know what your children will never have. My advice - teach them to survive and to fight when the need arises, the future is going to be a hard place, perhaps far sooner than any of us have imagined.

I don't know of any country that willingly embraced socialism and freedom killing big government and then turned back from it, especially one that has a 16 trillion dollar anvil around its neck and is still led by he who brought it on. The republicans can come back hard and fast in 4 years, the only thing they'll be able to do is run the socialist machine more efficiently. Sorry, it's a one way road going down the hill.

You will never be truly free again. From now on you'll only be fighting one losing battle after another, your speech will go, your guns will go, you will become subjects, just like the rest of us. It is always the fate of those who do not really want freedom and no longer understand it, they will be ruled as they wish.

Maybe I'm not seeing something, perhaps Americas founding fathers have thought of this, perhaps there is a way out, I don't see it though and I'm not betting on it.

On that sad note, it's time to close this place down, thank you for your support over the years. For taking the time, for fighting the good fight, it's been a hell of a ride, an honor and a privilege. I still hope to catch up with those of you who are still around.

I wish you well, may God bless you.

Nothing left to say

As the elections in America draw closer, I'm finding that I don't have anything to say, it's just seems pointless now. What needs to be said has been said, obama's record is there for all to see. People have had 4 years to make up their minds.

I hope people have seen him for what he really is and refuse to vote for him. America needs Romney now but it's up to Americans to see it and want it. If they stick with obama, well good luck to you, you will need it. In a way it'll be a good thing because obama will have to clean up the shit he's created by himself, people can prattle on about - yes we can - and voting for obama is like - losing your virginity - all they want, but you'll have to pay back the money he has spent. It's just a fact of life and not even America is immune from such things.

It'll be painful, jobs lost, lives ruined and there will be much gnashing of teeth, and it'll all be directed at obama. Then again the democrats and their media lapdogs might turn it around and blame it all on the Conservatives anyway, the pain won't be any lesser though.

If Romney fails to win, I'll be happy for him knowing he and his family has just escaped 4 years of hate and bile for cleaning up the shit left by the tweener president.

It's a similar thing here in Australia, no matter how much shit our socialist prime minister creates for us, the Conservative opposition is hated and loathed far more. The western world has crossed into this weird era where the responsible adults are hated and scorned for trying to pay the bills, keep the house clean and balance the budget.

Meanwhile the drunken tweeners whoring themselves and selling off the family silverware to keep the party going are celebrated, loved and everything else.

You may have heard of this song - Tell me lies, sweet little lies.... - that phrase pops into my head when I hear of a new poll saying that some leftist politician or party is doing well in the polls. It's like we don't want to hear the truth, we want to hear the lies and bullshit being spun around us.

It's a wonder there are still a few adults around willing to take on the thankless job of cleaning up.

Anyway I'd better stop now, I did say that I had nothing left to say and here I am going on and on.... :)

Bastardry from the top down

Fox News - But U.S. officials argue "strafing the streets of Benghazi" without a clear intelligence picture on the ground could have led to Americans or innocent bystanders being mistakenly hit. Officials also feared an ambush by the attackers.
Yeah far, far better for your own guys to be shot and killed than a couple of child-raping savages to get shot to shit by your planes. The Americans are dead but who cares, so long as all the locals and the terrorists are unharmed, that's what's important. Glad to see they've got their priorities all sorted. [*spit*]
At 4 a.m. local time -- 6 hours and 20 minutes after the initial attack began -- former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed at the CIA annex by a mortar shell. The machine gun they were firing was caked in blood, suggesting they continued fighting after being hit.
Gun, as in one machine gun, are they seriously telling me that they just had one effing gun! When I first read reports that they weren't even allowed weapons I couldn't believe it. That crap can't be right. I'm starting to wonder now, did they have to steal that machine gun from the scumbags attacking them as well.

Hats off to those brave warriors though, 2 of them held off packs of well armed rabid dogs for 6 hours! That's gotta be some record, them Navy SEALs are made of hard stuff. God bless them and their families.

Coming back to the bastardry they were forced to pay for.
They also say they needed permission from the Libyan government to enter the country's airspace, though West, the former deputy defense secretary, dismissed such an argument. "If your ambassador has been either killed or captured and is missing ... you don't ask any country for 'mother, may I' before you come across the border to save your own," he said.
Bing West is 100% right, what sort of shitbag operation is being run here, your guys are being shot to hell, out gunned and on the brink of death and the fellows holding the big guns are patiently folding their panties waiting for permission! Now that I think about it, did the aforementioned officials actually ask for permission since they were apparently bound by it?

Perhaps they needed a meeting first to draft the permission letter, but it couldn't be scheduled because the piece-of-shit email server was down that day. And while I'm at it, where's the signed permission letter for the drone that was apparently hanging around watching those brave Americans get slowly beaten and murdered? Don't tell me you need permission to rescue your fellow citizens on the brink of death but you don't need permission to just fly around aimlessly in said country's airspace.

From what I can see president obama knew about all this and simply couldn't figure out ass from elbow the entire time and I thought he was the glorious warrior who killed osama bin laden with his bare hands or something. Couldn't the greatest orator [*spit*] in the history of the universe pick up the phone and sweet-talk Libya's current leader into giving permission, a tweet maybe, no, teleprompter broke, so too hard?

It's beyond belief but those poor Americans were essentially cut loose, swinging in the effing wind for 6 hours until they couldn't hold out any more.

One has to ask, would anyone have moved their ass after 10 hours, what if those SEALs were not killed and were down to throwing rocks and their shoes from the rooftop after 24 hours, would president obama have told someone to tell someone else to order someone else to put their ass on the line to try and save them and give him the credit for it off course.

One wonders if after 20 hours, if he would have dispatched the effing carrier pigeon to the UN general assembly to ask for permission for a meeting to ask for permission to try and mount a rescue operation. Think about it, was anyone formulating a plan of rescue? As verminous as it sounds, was anyone actually drawing up a flow chart, cleaning their guns, fueling the plane, pulling their pants on, doing anything to try and rescue them. Or were they all just huddled around the screen showing the footage from the drone hoping they'd just die quickly so no one would have to do anything.

And what sort of message does this send to any other Americans serving their country in some faraway dump - any trouble and you'll be cut loose, swinging in the effing wind, no mercy, no aid, sorry and all that. We'll pray that you die really fast and don't drag it out too long making us look like the cowardly bastards above.

If Americans do the decent thing this November and vote Romney into power, the first order of business needs to be some justice meted out to those who betrayed those Americans. It's simply not right that this happened and everyone just walks.

He charged into a hail of flying lead for us

We saw a program on TV last Sunday [check the videos] about Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith, one of our finest SAS soldiers. In the program we got a very rare glimpse into the secretive world of our SAS soldiers, a glimpse that left many of us awestruck at the courage, patriotism, selflessness, dedication and above all the humility of these men. Even the American 101st Airborne Division got a grateful mention for their part flying our soldiers into the hornets nest.
Citation - For the most conspicuous gallantry in action in circumstances of extreme peril as Patrol Second-in-Command, Special Operations Task Group on Operation SLIPPER.

On the 11th June 2010, a troop of the Special Operations Task Group conducted a helicopter assault into Tizak, Kandahar Province, in order to capture or kill a senior Taliban commander.

Immediately upon the helicopter insertion, the troop was engaged by machine gun and rocket propelled grenade fire from multiple, dominating positions. Two soldiers were wounded in action and the troop was pinned down by fires from three machine guns in an elevated fortified position to the south of the village. Under the cover of close air support, suppressive small arms and machine gun fire, Corporal Roberts Smith and his patrol manoeuvred to within 70 metres of the enemy position in order to neutralise the enemy machine gun positions and regain the initiative.

Upon commencement of the assault, the patrol drew very heavy, intense, effective and sustained fire from the enemy position. Corporal Roberts Smith and his patrol members fought towards the enemy position until, at a range of 40 metres, the weight of fire prevented further movement forward. At this point, he identified the opportunity to exploit some cover provided by a small structure.

As he approached the structure, Corporal Roberts Smith identified an insurgent grenadier in the throes of engaging his patrol. Corporal Roberts Smith instinctively engaged the insurgent at point-blank range resulting in the death of the insurgent. With the members of his patrol still pinned down by the three enemy machine gun positions, he exposed his own position in order to draw fire away from his patrol, which enabled them to bring fire to bear against the enemy. His actions enabled his Patrol Commander to throw a grenade and silence one of the machine guns. Seizing the advantage, and demonstrating extreme devotion to duty and the most conspicuous gallantry, Corporal Roberts Smith, with a total disregard for his own safety, stormed the enemy position killing the two remaining machine gunners. I encourage you to read the rest at The Victoria Cross.
On a side note some of our more nasty elitists had some nasty things to say about Corporal Roberts Smith. I'm not quite sure why they said what they said, they didn't give any reason, but I suspect these nasty lefties have trouble keeping the inner ass contained and just can't help themselves.

None the less I'm also happy to report that they have been shamed back into their respective holes by a storm of withering criticism from the public. And being the decent human being these cretins don't want to be, Corporal Roberts Smith has accepted their apology and is looking forward to serving his country. I believe he returns to Afghanistan later this year, God speed and good hunting.

Bring many forms and your stool

ekathimerini - It took 10 months, a fat bundle of paperwork, countless certificates, long hours of haggling with bureaucrats and overcoming myriad other inconceivable obstacles for one group of young entrepreneurs to open an online store. As e-commerce continues to gain ground apace abroad, and even Greeks seem to be warming to the idea of Internet shopping, opening an online store based in Greece is no job for the fainthearted.

.....Antonopoulos and his partners spent hours collecting papers from tax offices, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the municipal service where the company is based, the health inspector’s office, the fire department and banks. At the health department, they were told that all the shareholders of the company would have to provide chest X-rays, and, in the most surreal demand of all, stool samples. Hat tip Crusader Rabbit.

Back when the EU appointed the interim prime minister of Greece, many of us were worried that the democratic process was being pushed aside. After all there was no election, no voting, he was just 'appointed'. But then we didn't know how bad things really were in Greece. We knew they've been living off borrowed money and were essentially spending far more than they were earning. But it seems that's just scratching the surface.

I've had to deal with 3rd world bureaucracies in a previous life so I have an idea of what they're like. There are endless queues, lots of wretched forms asking all sorts of seemingly pointless and intrusive questions. There are many, many departments you have to trudge around to and it takes weeks and weeks if not months. And in many cases you had to grease the odd palm to get things moving again.

However bad as it may have been, they never ever asked for a stool sample for anything, let alone to open a store. No wonder the Germans as so angry.

It makes you wonder if the EU appointing a PM for the Greeks was such a bad idea, I mean they're freaking crazy asking for stool samples. If nothing else, it weakens their case for self-governance, especially when they owe others so much money.

Pray for this Christian pastor

Fox News - A trial court in Iran has issued its final verdict, ordering a Christian pastor to be put to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity, according to sources close to the pastor and his legal team.
Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years.
It is unclear whether Nadarkhani can appeal the execution order.
Those of us in the west have a freedom that is unheard of in other parts of the world, particularly in the middle east. Pray for this pastor and his family. He is a real Christian, one who found Christ our lord and one who does not renounce his faith even when surrounded by merciless enemies and facing certain death.

I have met a few Christians who have come from the middle east and I must say, they are the nicest people you could meet, humble, kind, welcoming and grateful to live in this country. I guess it must be because they know how lucky they are to escape from there. I often wonder why the west doesn't actively favor the Christian immigrants from there, from what I can see we could do far worse than them and we are.

I read in the article that Hillary Clinton and 89 members of Congress, along with the European Union, France, Great Britain, Mexico and Germany have called upon Iran to release Nadarkhani, which is great to hear, maybe president Obama can add his voice to them as well. This poor man needs all the help he can get.
