Pray for this Christian pastor

Fox News - A trial court in Iran has issued its final verdict, ordering a Christian pastor to be put to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity, according to sources close to the pastor and his legal team.
Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years.
It is unclear whether Nadarkhani can appeal the execution order.
Those of us in the west have a freedom that is unheard of in other parts of the world, particularly in the middle east. Pray for this pastor and his family. He is a real Christian, one who found Christ our lord and one who does not renounce his faith even when surrounded by merciless enemies and facing certain death.

I have met a few Christians who have come from the middle east and I must say, they are the nicest people you could meet, humble, kind, welcoming and grateful to live in this country. I guess it must be because they know how lucky they are to escape from there. I often wonder why the west doesn't actively favor the Christian immigrants from there, from what I can see we could do far worse than them and we are.

I read in the article that Hillary Clinton and 89 members of Congress, along with the European Union, France, Great Britain, Mexico and Germany have called upon Iran to release Nadarkhani, which is great to hear, maybe president Obama can add his voice to them as well. This poor man needs all the help he can get.

But Islam is such a beautiful and peaceful religion!

Religious freedom in the middle east is a joke and only found in the Jewish state. That tells me all I need to know.

Prayer said, my friend. I hope our Lord will answer.

God help any converted Muslims to Christianity and any Christian for that matter. They are targets for execution.

So much for the religion of "peace."

I'm praying hard, MK. The pastor and his family are brave in the extreme.

My prayers, too. The story was on Fox News Fox and Friends this morning. I don't know about the rest of the networks.

God help your people around the world who place their faith in You.

It does not look good, does it? He has been in prison since 2009 I think, he converted from Islam to Christianity. I'm hoping Iran will change their mind. What a real test of this man's conversion to Christianity.

I guess the MSM will ignore this too.

Hey, RWT, love the new place!

But... but... Eeslam is a religion of peace and tolerance and flowers and 12-string guitars!

Doesn't it boggle the mind that the same folks who yammer against Christianity for being so intolerant nod with approval at a belief system that demands death for cartoons and apostasy from its insane ideology?

Truly the world has gone mad.

Indeed it does.

Yet, should we expect anything less from a cult that worships a moon god who has a pedophile prophet speak for it, demanding sexual mutilation of the women who are slaves to its male "disciples", and rattle their flaccid sabers against the God of Israel?

Right Wing,

I re-posted this. People need to know. The media will be silent, of course, and why is it not surprising that FOX News is the only US-based news outlet who even talks about this?

Our Father is in control, and Youcef's life is in His sure hand. His will be done, in Jesus' mighty Name.
